About
Lutrix explores the use of light to create a sense of structure in three dimensional space, imbuing otherwise inanimate objects with a sense of personality.
The sculpture is comprised of a cube with four outwardly-lit faces and an inwardly-lit ground perimeter, flanked by two cylindrical towers, yielding a total of 248 unique points of independently controlled light. Patterns explore interaction between these elements through color and form.
